In April 2025, Watershed Stories presented artist-led workshops for the public.

Using a sketchbook participants engaged directly with the waters that run through the Salt Lake Valley. They were introduced to different mediums including pastels, pencils, and collage and learned how to use them as a means of recording their thoughts and experiences in the current moment, the past, and the future, with water as the connecting motif.
Recordings and Sound Installation
The sketchbook served as a basis to share thoughts through recordings taken during the workshop. These personal reflections will be mixed with recordings of the actual streams that run through the valley and presented as a sound installation in the Seven Canyons Refuge at Liberty Park in October 2025. Additionally, the recordings will be saved as an archive which will be available online.
